Jujutsu & Qi Gong
We offer Jujutsu and Qi Gong classes to help you gain strength and confidence in your body's ability to stretch, move, and fight.

To register yourself or your child (ages 13+ only), please email us at info@laughingtao.com with your full name, preferred class (Jujutsu or Qi Gong), and whether you want to attend a drop-in class ($20) or a monthly membership pass ($100). We will send you an invoice. Payment must be made before attending classes.​
​
There is no smoking, drinking, vaping, or marijuana use on the Laughing Tao property.

Qi Gong
​
Start your day with a healing combination of breath, meditation, and movement.
Qi Gong Yang Sheng (the art of nourishing life), or Qi Gong, pronounced “chee gong,” originated thousands of years ago as an integral part of Eastern medicine and healing. It involves using simple, meditative exercises to improve energy and balance within the mind, body, and spirit. Qi Gong is for all ages and activity levels – anyone can benefit from this beautiful, deeply healing art form.

Classes are held Mondays and Thursdays from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. The cost is $100 a month or $20 per drop-in class.

Note: Ages 13+ only. Please come prepared with a water bottle, as well as a notebook and pen if you wish to take notes. Please wear loose fitting clothing.
Jujutsu
​
Boost your self-confidence and self-defense skills with Glenn Werry, 6th degree black belt, co-founder of Elemental Jujutsu, and acupuncturist at Laughing Tao.
​
In this class you will learn self-defense techniques, increase mobility and awareness of your environment, and understand how to set boundaries as well as what to say and how to act in a highly stressful event.
​
Classes are held from 6:15 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
​
The cost is $100 per month, or $20 per drop-in class. Ages 13+ only.

Note: Please bring a water bottle. Wear comfortable, athletic pants and a t-shirt or sports top. You may bring a notebook and pen to class should you wish to take notes.

Glenn Salazar Werry, LAc
Jujutsu & Qi Gong Instructor
​
Glenn served as an infantryman for over 10 years, where he partnered with intelligence, became staff sergeant, and taught hand-to-hand combat to hundreds of soldiers. Glenn practiced and taught martial arts, tai chi, and qi gong for over 25 years, and is the co-founder of and a 6th degree blackbelt in Elemental Jujutsu. He holds a Bachelors of Science in Nutrition, a Masters of Science in Oriental Medicine, and a Doctorate in Acupuncture.
Please note that the Laughing Tao Dojo is in a separate building from the acupuncture clinic. To access the Dojo, turn onto Bowers Street and then turn onto Schertz Avenue (the alley). There will be a Laughing Tao sign on the right-hand side of the alley as well as a small parking lot.

Note that there is no bathroom in the Dojo. The bathroom is in the back of the house, and going across the yard and up porch stairs is required to use the bathroom. This is not a handicap accessible bathroom.
